I cannot believe it is already November, this year has flown by. So much has happened in the fashion world this year, and as another year approaches here are the names of the designers and labels I’m most excited about for 2019!
I’m a little biased but I am a massive Victoria Beckham fan anyway, but I love everything about her designs. She recently celebrated her 10th anniversary of being a fashion designer and with it a special 10th anniversary capsule collection. Whilst the vast majority of Victoria Beckham’s designs are out of the price range for mere mortals, it is nice to dream, and if you catch items in the sale then they are that bit more affordable. Either way – I can’t wait to see next year’s lines.
Dion Lee is a label from Australia, which was recently showcased to the world when the Duchess of Sussex wore one of their dresses on her recent Commonwealth tour. Dion Lee is also approaching its 10th anniversary but is less well known in these parts of the world. Dion is well known for experimenting with structure in fabrics and makes an edgy shape in his clothing.
Another label showcased to the world by the Duchess of Sussex on her tour down under, Reformation is a much less formal and structured label. I love that their products can be dressed up or down – they have clothes that would be suitable for ballgowns and for the beach. They are very environmentally friendly – promoting and using sustainable practices where possible. They are much more affordable than a lot of the big names out there, and yet their items are gorgeous. They also go up to larger sizes and best of all have a stunning and very affordable, although not particularly traditional wedding collection. I can’t wait to see what they get up to in 2019!
